Proactive’s Tylah Tully breaks down 'Just the Facts' from Firebird Metals Ltd (ASX:FRB, OTC:FRBMF) latest announcement.

The company has received preliminary design approval for its proposed battery-grade manganese sulphate plant in Jinshi, Hunan Province, China. This represents a major milestone in developing a low-cost, speed-to-market facility. The design covers key areas such as process design, engineering and essential environmental, safety and energy permits. The Jinshi High-Tech Industrial Park Committee and the Hunan Chemical Engineering Design Institute conducted the review and granted approval.

Geotechnical drilling is underway, with results expected soon to assist with the detailed engineering design. Firebird Metals has now met approximately 80% of the requirements for the Building and Construction Permit. The company is moving towards a final investment decision in the coming months, aiming to become a near-term, low-cost producer of battery-grade manganese sulphate and tetroxide, driven by its dedication and successful execution of its China-based LMFP battery strategy.
